Rail Fence Cipher Explanation

The Rail Fence Cipher is a transposition cipher that encrypts a message by arranging it in a zigzag pattern across multiple rows (rails). The letters are then read row by row to create the ciphertext.

Steps to Encrypt Using Rail Fence Cipher:

  1. Choose the number of rails (levels).
  2. Write the message in a zigzag pattern along these rails.
  3. Read the message row by row to get the encrypted text.

Example:

Original Message:

Mr Joe Cusack is a computer Science teacher at Klein Collins High School

Encrypted Text:

MusuieannSrCsiaptcetartiCishclJeakcmeSneceKeolHghoocorchllio

Your file name will be PX_lastname_RailFence.

Either on the Board or on Paper, code the message Mr. Cusack gives you.
