We're excited to offer a letter jacket with a special computer science patch!
To claim this jacket, you need to accumulate 30 points.

Earning a graduation cord in Computer Science is a notable achievement.
Gather 120 points, or be among the top two students with the most points for the year, to earn this honor.


Point Accumulation Methods:
1. Practices (Post-School on Mondays and Wednesdays):
- Earn 2 points for each session by attending and participating for a minimum of 30 minutes.

2. Contests:
- Virtual Contests: Gain 6 points for each event you attend and participate in.
- Local In-person Contests (within 60 miles of Klein Collins School): 10 points for participation.
- Long Distance In-person Contests (over 60 miles away): Earn 20 points for each event.

Participation Criteria:
- To qualify, take a written test, score at least 40, and engage in team programming for a minimum of 1 hour.

Bonus Points Opportunities:
- Score above 160 on any UIL test: +6 points.
- Place in the top 5 in any UIL test: +6 points.
- Team ranks in the top 5 in a contest: +8 points.
These bonuses apply to both novice and advanced contests. Mr. Cusack will assign the contests you enter.
- Participate in the district UIL contest selected by Mr. Cusack: +6 points.
- Win district with your team: +20 points.
- Win at each level above district: +40 points.

Point Entry Process:
- After each event, Mr. Cusack will provide a secret code.
- Enter this code into a specified Google form within 30 minutes of receipt.
- Keep the code confidential. Sharing it may lead to losing all earned points.
